WORLD BUILDING DESIGN

World-building Design Concept:

“In the mid 2000s, climate change causes an abrupt, inexorable natural disaster wiping a vast majority of life from the face of the earth and putting an end to the existence of electricity. Only the wealthiest people in Europe have survived by migrating deep into the chill Swiss Alps, offering serfdom to the desperate as a chance to survive.

The wealthy erected great buildings and castles, while the serfs mined into the earth, building their homes underground. As hundreds of years passed, the serfs’ quarters grew with the lower class; the underground city fleshed out into a bustling, monotonous Metropolis.

The year is 4026.”

  • The final design of the Pater Noster machine, referencing Bosch’s piece. The danger and uncomfortableness of this machine is heightened by its industrial design and the assembly-line nature of its work
